This project is a quilt-as-you-go type of quilt where each hexagon block is finished one by one, and then sewn together.  The fabric is folded to shape, pressed and then sewn to make a hexie block. 
Actual size template is given in the pattern. This type of patchwork fabric folding technique is also know as Quilt origami or Fabric origami.
It’s a flexible project that can be made up to any size – just make more (or less) blocks to achieve the required size.  And best of all, it’s a fun portable project as long as the pressing is done in advance, so take it along to stitching meetings, long car journeys or work on it on a holiday – enjoy.
