Half Square Patchwork Mini Quilt Sewing Pattern
 
The finished quilt size is: 20” by 20” (50cm x 50cm)
 
I used Kaffe Fassett fabrics for this mini quilt. Please bear in mind that quilt shops have minimum fabric size purchase requirements (usually ⅛yd or ¼yd), so you may have to purchase bigger fabric pieces than mentioned below.
 
Material requirements:
100 x 3” squares of assorted Kaffe Fassett prints
The colour selection is in the pattern.
(= in quilt language the total fabric amount equals size wise to 3 FQs*) of fabric)
22” by 22” (55cm by 55cm) of backing fabric
22” by 22” (55cm by 55cm) quilt batting
8” (20cm) x WOF fabric for double binding. Total binding needed is 3yds (2.75m) if using ready-made.
Piecing thread & quilting thread for hand or machine
Optional: 2½” or other size square quilt rule with diagonal markings would be helpful.
*) FQ = 18” by 21” piece of quilt fabric
