Skill level: Intermediate to advanced due to diagonal angles in the diamond shapes which are more complex to sew than simple shapes such as squares.
Material requirements:
* 7 pieces of assorted cotton quilt fabrics for diamonds: Each min. 2” wide and 24” long
* 9” by 14” piece of fabric for the lining
* 9” by 9” piece of fabric for the pockets
* 9” by 14” piece of fusible batting: Vilene 640 or Pellon 272 single side fusible or similar.
* Piecing thread
* 60º diamond ruler, such as SewEasy
Optional, but helpful items: * Quilting thread * Template plastic or ¼” seam guide ruler * Tailor’s awl * 2B soft pencilYou will also need the usual quilting items: Ruler with 60º marking, cutting mat and rotary cutter.
