Finished bag size is approximately H9.5” x W9.5” (24cm x 24cm).
Instructions are for machine sewing and with the clever and easy closure, there's not need to make button hole either. Affordable adjustable shoulder straps are readily available online.
Material requirements:
Blue jeans to cut up OR 12” by 30” piece of fabricLining fabric: 12” by 30”
Adjustable shoulder strap, 1½” (4cm) wide. These are readily available online
Closure: 5” Piece of cotton or leather cord + 1 button
POLYESTER sewing thread (stronger than cotton!)
Scissors and ruler
Copy paper or cardboard, sello tape
OPTIONAL: 12” by 30” piece of Thermolam 272 batting by Vilene/Vliseline*) or similar.
*) In the USA known as Pellon where it is also available as a single sided fusible, so get a single sided fusible variety if available.Also optional: Rotary cutter and cutting mat.
The bag pieces are measured out, but there are also templates included for those who wish to use these.
