This is a modern design where one can use a feature fabric in the centre and lots of scrap fabrics in the diagonal pieced stripes in the corner sections. So many possibilities for different colour & print combinations!  It would make a wonderful memory pillow, as there are so many small squares to use lots of different garment fabrics in. Material requirements:
72 small fabric scraps for the diagonal corner blocks
12” (30cm) aqua background fabric 
10” (25cm) square for centre feature fabric measured on point
20” square of fabric for the back
20” (50cm) lining fabric
10” (25cm) binding fabric
20” (50cm) Wadding/batting square
18” (45cm) long zipper
Thread for piecing
Thread for quilting
18” (45cm) square filler pad
6½” square acrylic quilt ruler.
