Absolute Basics - Patchwork Quilting class for
beginners
This is a beginners' class involving basic machine
and/or hand constructed
quilt techniques. All basic tools & techniques will be covered. You
will construct a small quilt or at least start one & you would
have acquired enough knowledge to continue at home, so in other
words this workshop should give you enough
confidence to create a quilt top of your very own!
This is the prefect way to get involved in quilting or to re-discover it, so please join in! |

Absolute Basics Continue - Finishing Your Quilt Saturday

Continue with a project you
have already started - this workshop will assist with finishing it! Includes layering, basting, quilting, adding borders and binding. The aim is to give the quilter enough knowledge and confidence to finish their project at home if it cannot be achieved during these four hours. So, please join in and get that project finished! |

house at Tikki. The pattern is simple yet stunning in glorious Kaffe
Fassett and Philip Jacobs fabrics. Indulge in those lovely
large scale floral prints and create your own stunning version of this quilt.
Finished size is a throw/single bed. Suitable for all levels - fun for everyone - you will learn quilting basics and for those already confident, this is a quick quilt with stunning results. Fabrics kits will be available for this class. |

Foundation Paper Piecing Class Suitable for all levels

You will learn the top
piecing method with a pineapple patterned paper foundation sheet. The
finished blocks can be used to stitch a sensational pineapple quilt or make a
cushion - make as many blocks as you like. Learn how to paper piece
efficiently and accurately and most of all enjoy the process. This is the old fashioned method the way Crazy Quilts, String Quilts and early Log Cabin Quilts were pieced Pictures to follow. |

Disappearing Nine Patch Suitable for all levels

This is a very clever design
where blocks look as if they have been pieced from loads of small pieces and
that's what we would like everyone else to think - how clever we are!
In reality
you will only have to make an easy block and sprinkle a little magic
dust and voila a stunning quilt design has appeared. Join us for this fun class - the quilt is quick to make if machine pieced and can be finished to a variety of sizes. This class is suitable for all levels and great for beginners as well.. So if you can sew and maybe have done the absolute beginners' class, then this class is great fun to continue to learn the craft. |

This group gives you the
chance to get together with friends and other quilters while working on your
choice of patchwork project. Many skills are enjoyed in this group and
expertise is shared and advise & encouragement readily available.
Conversation normally fly as fast as the needles! Ideal for those of you who enjoy working together with other quilters. Or maybe you need a little encouragement to bring your ideas to a conclusion. There will be no teacher running this group, but help is always available in the shop. Tikki has basic sewing machines which you may borrow free of charge if you cannot bring your own. |

Tikki has basic sewing machines which you may borrow free of charge during workshops if required. But if you can, do bring your own, as it is always easier to work with a machine you are familiar with and not waste time learning to use a new machine. |
